About CauseCentral
Formation should be
transparent.
We went looking at how people actually start nonprofits in America, and what we found was strange. The affordable options were websites that hadn't been touched in a decade — one still quotes IRS fees that changed before 2010. The quality options wouldn't tell you a price without a phone call. And almost nobody stuck around after the determination letter, even though that's when the deadlines start.
So we built the thing we couldn't find: modern software with current, verified rules for all 50 states, flat prices published for everyone, and a back office that keeps working after you're approved. The people starting food pantries and youth programs deserve at least the same product quality as people starting SaaS companies.
What we hold ourselves to
Not values-poster material — operating rules, enforced in the product.
Every price is published
Half this industry makes you call for a quote. Every price we charge — formation, reinstatement, every subscription — is on this website. If we can't say the number in public, we don't charge it.
Government fees are never marked up
State filing fees and IRS user fees are itemized separately and passed through at cost. You'll always see exactly what goes to the government and what goes to us.
Tiers change the help, not the software
Every customer at every tier gets the full platform. Paying more buys human hands — specialist review, done-for-you filing — never features held for ransom.
Honest timelines
Incorporation takes days, an EIN takes a day, and the IRS takes 2–6 weeks for a 1023-EZ or 3–9 months for a full 1023. We publish that instead of promising 'instant' anything, and show you live status the whole way.
We are not a law firm
We provide self-help software and document preparation at your direction, from attorney-reviewed templates. When your case is genuinely complex, we stop and refer you to nonprofit attorneys and CPAs — we never improvise legal advice.
We never store your SSN
The EIN application walkthrough is guidance-only: your Social Security number goes directly to the IRS, never into our systems. Not encrypted, not hashed — just never collected.
No trophy wall here
You won't find stock-photo team bios or glowing testimonials on this page, because we won't fabricate either. We're a small team that builds software, keeps state and IRS rules current as verified data, and answers our own support email. Judge us the way you'd want a funder to judge you: by the work.
